A felmérés arra is rámutat, hogy a budapestiek körében Tarlós Istvánt lényegesen többen tartják jobb főpolgármesternek (53%), mint Demszky Gábort (17%). Egy most vasárnapi főpolgármester-választás esetén Tarlós István Karácsony Gergelyt és Horváth Csabát is nagy fölénnyel győzné le.
A választások során fontos csatamező lesz Budapest, mely sokak szerint még mindig „vörös város”. Ugyanakkor a kutatás alapján a budapesti felnőtt lakosság körében többségben vannak azok, akik szerint jó irányba mentek a dolgok az elmúlt hét évben a fővárosban (56%), negatív állásponttal jóval kevesebben bírnak (36%). Tarlós István eddigi munkáját is hasonló arányban ítélik meg a fővárosiak. A főpolgármester munkájával a budapestiek többsége (56%) elégedett, az elégedetlenek aránya mindössze egyharmados (33%).
Érdekesség, hogy a budapesti Jobbik-szimpatizánsok közel fele (49%) ugyancsak elégedett az elmúlt hét évvel, míg e körben tízből közel négyen (38%) a főpolgármester munkáját is pozitívan ítélik meg. Szintén fontos kiemelni, hogy az LMP-tábor körében is 36, illetve 33% erősíti az elmúlt hét évvel, illetve a Tarlós István munkájával elégedettek táborát. Ugyanez az arány a baloldali (MSZP, DK, Együtt, Párbeszéd, Liberálisok) szimpatizánsok körében 28, illetve 25%.
A kutatás azt is vizsgálta, hogy a rendszerváltás óta kit tartanak jobb főpolgármesternek a budapestiek. E tekintetben is egyértelműek az eredmények, hiszen Tarlós Istvánt lényegesen többen tartják jobb főpolgármesternek (53%), mint Demszky Gábort (17%). Érdekesség, hogy még a baloldali szimpatizánsok negyede (24%) is Tarlós Istvánnal szimpatizál.
Végül, a felmérés arra is rámutat, hogy egy most vasárnapi főpolgármester-választás esetén a biztos szavazók körében 52% szavazna Tarlós Istvánra, míg 26% Karácsony Gergelyre. A jelenlegi főpolgármester Horváth Csabával szemben is hasonló eredményt érne el (51%), míg a szocialista politikusra csak 17% szavazna.
