NÉZŐPONT INSTITUTE HELD A PROFESSIONAL BRIEFING FOR EMBASSIES ON THE HUNGARIAN ELECTORAL SYSTEM

Nézőpont Institute presented the Hungarian electoral system and its peculiarities to the delegates of the embassies. Ágoston Sámuel Mráz, head of Nézőpont Institute, and Levente Boros Bánk, director of analysis, reported to the international audience on the most important information about the parliamentary elections due in 66 days. The information covered how votes are converted into mandates, the meaning of winners’ and losers’ fractional votes, and the importance of national minority and outside of Hungary votes. After the presentation, the participants of the event were able to receive answers to questions concerning the process of the election process, current issues of campaign financing and campaign topics, as well as criticisms of the election system.
