Good Governance Index by Nézőpont Intézet looks at the quality of 2018 governance in nine EU Member States south of the Baltic States and north of Greece not through fixed values or in an ideologically driven context but by comparing the countries' own past and comparative achievements.

„Central Europe has been put on the world map once again, and this is our achievement, Poles, Hungarians, Slovaks and Czechs together”, said Polish Deputy Prime Minister Beata Szydlo at the conference „Europe of Central Europe” organised by Nézőpont Intézet and the Felczak Foundation.

With the approach of the EP elections, the governing Fidesz-KDNP is becoming more and more popular among voters (57 per cent), while opposition parties Jobbik (11 per cent) and MSZP (10 per cent) lost supporters between March and April, although this change was within the margin error.

Nézőpont Institute conducted a quick online poll, which revealed that the majority of Hungarians (54 percent) considers the statements of Ildikó Bangoné Borbély as outrageous.

The ideological self-classification of the Central European population shows that the majority supports the political right-wing, they are conservative and have a critical stance towards migration.
